Governor Gregg Helps MVR Kick Off Its New Year!

Governor Gregg Roche enjoyed breakfast with the Merrimack Valley Rotary on Wednesday, July 18, 2007.

In turn, the members enjoyed hearing about the initiatives that District 7910 is focusing on during the upcoming year. Formost on the Governor's mind was the new District 7910 Web Site, which gives the Club opportunities to improve communications with the District, other Clubs and members. The Web Site is located at: http://www.clubrunner.ca/dprg/dxhome/_home.aspx?did=7910

Governor Gregg also mentioned that the District is going to continue to work on the Habitat House in Fitchburg, which was started last year. He also mentioned several resources offered by the District including Public Relations, Health and Hunger, Rotary Family, Literacy, Youth, and the Foundation. His message for the upcoming year was to write down your goals and then use them! The Merrimack Valley Rotary is thank full for Governor Gregg's visit and welcomes him to drop by for breakfast again!

What Are The Advantages Of A Breakfast Meeting?

Any day that includes a Rotary meeting is a good day! However at the Merrimack Valley Rotary, we think breakfast meetings are the best ways to celebrate Rotary.

But what are the advantages of Breakfast meetings?

Minimum interruption of the day
The meeting is over at 8:30AM. Sometimes it is hard to get to a lunch meeting because it takes a couple of hours out of your day. At a breakfast meeting, there is minimal interruption of the day because most of the meeting is held before the day begins.

A great way to start the day.
Breakfast meeting members are mostly morning people. So they are enthusiastic, upbeat, and fun. It gives you such a great feeling first thing in the morning; it sets the tone for the rest of your day.

Breakfast is your most important meal
Nutritionists tell us that the most important meal is breakfast. At a breakfast meeting, you can indulge yourself with a healthy breakfast at least once a week. And, of course, with that meal comes a healthy dose of fellowship.

Morning People Need Morning People
If you are a morning person, there nothing is better than being around a group of morning people. They make you feel normal.

For Non Morning People, It Is A Wake Up
Breakfast meetings are better than a cup of coffee to wake you up. The effects of the coffee will be gone hours later, while the effects of the meeting will stay with you all day.

Gives You Time To Think
If something thought provoking is discussed at a breakfast meeting, thoughts of it keep popping in your head all day. By the end of the day, that thought may have given you a new outlook on life.
So, that is why we say, have breakfast with us and you will enjoy it the rest of the day!

Have Breakfast With Us And .....You Will Enjoy It All Day!

That is the Merrimack Valley Rotary’s theme for this year. But, what does it mean? Does it mean that the breakfasts at Skips Restaurant are so tasty that they stay with you all day?. Or does it mean more?

At the Merrimack Valley Rotary Club, breakfast is served every Wednesday at Skips Restaurant in Chelmsford, http://www.skipsrestaurant.com/ Massachusetts at 7:15 AM. Skips is famous for its fabulous breakfasts. But for those who attend the Rotary meeting, breakfast becomes more than a good meal.

Yes, Skip’s pancakes are great, but the best part of the meal is: the fellowship, entertainment, information and most importantly the goodwill.

Fellowship
The Merrimack Valley Rotary is a family. We share much: laughter, support, accomplishments, lessons, and information. We are spirited and enthusiastic about the Club and our fellow members. The atmosphere is contagious!

Entertaining
Our speakers are entertaining but so are our members. Many a good story is told. Stories that make you both think and smile: far beyond the end of the meetings.

Informative
A good day is a day you learn something new. Members of the Merrimack Valley Rotary have at least one good day every Wednesday. That is because there is always something to learn at the meetings. We have weekly speakers and they teach us so much.

Goodwill
The Merrimack Valley Rotary is always energized with a community project both locally and internationally: our goal is to help those who cannot always help themselves. Those projects reward each member with the good feeling of accomplishment and contribution.

So, have breakfast with the Merrimack Valley Rotary, And You Will Enjoy It The Rest of the Day.

That's because, our breakfasts are not only good for your appetite, they are also healthy for your brain, your self-worth and your spirit. They say that the best way to start the day is with a good breakfast. You can start it up right at the Merrimack Valley Rotary!
